Pros

One of the pros of working at Splish Splash water park is that this is a great place to gain the necessary work experience to be more hire able with a " higher level job". Another pro is that in the Concessions department, every workday, you are placed in a stand that sells different food items that also entitle the knowledge of different food handling procedures (ex. One day you are selling ice cream another hamburgers.) this gives the workers diverse skills in proper food handling a nd procedures. Most importantly, there is a sense of family among coworkers. Since many of the entry levels, leads, supervisors and managers are around the same age, many of our coworkers often find common interests that promote teamwork among the group. There is also strong bonds that are also formed between our superiors because of the level of nurturing that occurs working at splish splash waterpark.

Cons

Since this is outdoor work combine with the heat of ovens, tempatures can reach 100 degrees in the stands. Making work seem grueling at times.

Pros

Worked in aquatics. Coworkers are great, but if you're not 'in' with the right crowd, you're not going to be promoted to supervisor. Loved meeting all the ITMs, and seeing guards succeed.

Cons

Long hours- 12-14 hour day, with only 1 45 minute break, which it's frowned on to take the full thing. You'll have 2 breaks come out of your paycheck though, and don't even think about complaining. Your summer is spent here, days off are not really days off.
