Creatives Beware

Pros

This is a newly launched creative arm of a longstanding tradeshow production house. They seem to want to/talk a lot about expanding into more creative and diverse markets. They have a lot of 10+ year employees, so its obviously been a stable gig for some people.

Cons

The product they produce at Spiro USA is modular trade show frames with graphic wrappers. The often talk about wanting to "create" more diverse elements and event experiences, and the European/EAU offices get some interesting design work produced, but the production/fabrication arm of the company (US based) isn't geared to custom fabrication, so the creatives are directed to only design using an extruded aluminum kit of parts. It's the most basic, recognizable kind of trade show design, and it seems to be the only kind of show elements they're comfortable pricing out and producing. All other concepts get squashed. So if you're into designing big tradeshow cereal boxes, dive in. But if you're interested in pushing experiential design someplace new, this isn't a good fit for you.

Pros

Remote work and learned new systems I hadn't used before - helped me add new skills to the resume

Cons

Incredibly woke culture that is forced down employees throats, too much 'fluff' and not enough work getting done, new company with executives all trying to make a name for themselves and smarter than everyone else in the room, very cliquey - like high school. If you like kissing butt, drinking the kool-aid or being a yes man than this would be the perfect place for you!

Pros

Hard to list pros with how miserable people are here. Best I have is is your in sales you get whatever you want.

Cons

The pathological things happening is the 3D design department are not worth any paycheck, but they also don't pay well. Management is insecure and can not let the wrong people succeed here. I was told you have to handle anything we throw at you and that's because they don't want to bother doing their jobs and simply use the position to lie, intimate, humiliate, take and do whatever they want. If your part of the click or ignored you might be fine.
