Sweatshop that fires people as soon as their work is done in order to keep headcount low.

Pros
Good talent, good people, fun startup environment. Wonderful idea for a medical device.
Cons
Many people suddenly fired over the weekend when the company was done with them, including engineers, a quality director, and others. Old Boys' (and Girls') Club mentality. If you're not "in" then you are constantly at risk. If you are "in" then you can waste a tremendous amount of company time and money. Implantable portion of product relies upon a dodgy software layer that disallows the developer from using basic tools to test its safety. Speaking up against this layer has cost several people their jobs. Feels Stalinistic.
