Pros

Working at Southern Event Management was a blast! I learned heaps about business and met some awesome folks. Every day was like a new adventure. I got to dive into things like making plans and talking like a pro, but without any of the dull stuff. Plus, everyone was super supportive and made work feel like hanging out with friends. And guess what? This gig opened up so many cool doors for me. I went from newbie to rubbing elbows with big shots in no time! So, big shoutout to the crew at Southern Event Management – you guys are legends! Thanks for the laughs and the lessons. You made work feel like a fun ride through the world of business!

Scams and Frauds

Pros

Do not even apply here, there are no pros. The people working here are attempting to scam people out of their time and effort to enrich themselves.

Cons

This is a box store salesman position. 100% commission work, no benefits, pay is awful. Glassdoor claims that company’s aren’t padding their reviews but the exact same verbatim phrase is used in 6 five star interviews.

Pros

I was able to grow and develop very quickly as a marketing professional in this position. I can confidently say I’ve never lied, mislead, or pressured anyone into making decisions nor was I ever encouraged to. I always found a people over profit culture here. The management training program is an entry level sales position that does involve commuting to various store locations and promoting clients products directly within the retailers. This is a performance base pay structure with the average individual making 50k during 12 months of training. It is a high engagement and high accountability culture. If you’re looking to challenge yourself and grow very quickly, this is the place for you.

Cons

There is travel and commuting which is not for everyone. There is most definitely a sales component as this is a marketing firm specializing in direct marketing and customer acquisition, if you are opposed to sales this isn’t for you.
