Pros

Most of the families always tip so that was great.

Cons

This company is literally run by a group of young college students, ranging from ages 21-25, therefore, the company and workers outside of the leadership have no communication with the CEO. The girls also pick and choose who they want to work certain jobs, so you don't have any control over your schedule sometimes until the day of or hours before a job. They go with exactly what families say and have no commitment to their employees but will expect you to cater your schedule around families when last minutes jobs come up. This probably was the most unprofessional job I've ever experienced. I literally would not recommend this job to anyone.

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, I think you may have SitterTree confused with another company. Our employees are all college graduates and range in age from 23-40. In addition, we work as a team daily, and no employee is unable to reach another member of our team. I am sorry you had a negative experience, but I believe you may be misinformed about SitterTree.

Not Ethically Fair Company

Pros

An online platform, quick to hire. Some of the many families are really sweet and caring.

Cons

Not as in-depth background check as they say. If you're looking for a company that values their sitters, think again. Charging parents per job post while also taking a percentage of hourly wage from the sitters. Fail to really background check the families. I was assigned to some jobs in dirty homes/work environments. Your worth is only based upon reviews from various families. Some of the families in the network make you feel unwelcomed. There are times parents will literally treat you like "the help", with no prior communication of job roles. They'll request you to drive them (children and parents) around or ask for absurd requests that are not part of your job description. Agency does very little to communicate with the families once the sitter reports them. SitterTree will assign you jobs with very little communication if there is an emergency or need to change and will charge a cancellation fee even if there is a lack on their end. When asked to speak to management there is very little feedback or communication. CEO does not have children so it seems that there may be a lack of understanding familial and sitter needs. It seems as if they may just not "get it." If you're looking for a responsible agency there are others in Atlanta, that I have worked for and continue to support. These agencies work well within their network and provides in-depth background checks for both families and sitters as well as reviewing the house environment in which the sitters will be. They "say" their algorithm picks jobs for sitters. That is a lie. As soon as I was hired I got plenty of jobs, unlike other sitters who I have met that were hired way before me and still were struggling to find any work. The agency picks who they want working... There is no clear transparency or value for employees.
