Pros

The offices are nice and modern.

Cons

The mid level managers are terrible. Promoted on technical expertise without people management. A lot of blaming and gaslighting associates. Managers visibly get mad when associates request for promotions.

Pros

-pension contribution good -£50 voucher on birthday and birthday day off -internal reward structure -dental care included -ok holiday entitlement -flexibility (manager discretion) -some very nice people at ground level -make an effort to creat socials and events for staff

Cons

-bullying culture. Many people left who I knew and all due to bullying from management -blame culture and no one willing to take responsibility -a lot of egos and internal politics -sexist, racist and unnerving environment at times -Support staff bullied and feel under appreciated -claims worksite balance but work very late in comparison to the remuneration offered -no bonus structure so use the lure of promotion to make u work all hours with little recognition or reward -awful office space in the Manchester office compares to the Birmingham office which is vastly more professional -high stress levels -work weekends and logging on at home encouraged -claim to make a move towards agile working but have issues with people who work from home (but partners can work from home without exception) so not amenable for child care -unable to work flexible hours to account for childcare issues -pay rises are a joke - partners brought in without client following so put pressure on rest of staff to bill to compensate for the weak links -opening new offices in new locations and expanding too quickly when client following will not create enough work -dirty offices (heard of rats in one location) -expenses policy awful expect you to pay for hotels and trains then claim after and takes a week to get back in your account- with low pay this is difficult to manage -gossipy atmosphere -systems very behind compared to previous firms I have worked with. Need to invest in better IT and telephony systems

Pros

None - apart from the swanky new offices if you are lucky enough to work in them

Cons

Lack of partners and senior associates (FET) [who does not deserve a partner promotion] in the office enabling people to breathe and work in a relaxed environment without any fleurs and graces. Cons Continually being stared at by FET members of the team in a threatening way the excessive of use of fleurs in the office - would do much better without it given that it is not conducive to a harmonious working environment.
