      Pros

      SSL builds highly complex commercial satellites that connect the world with high throughput technology and FSS/BSS payloads that are unparalleled in the industry.

      Cons

      The business climate is difficult in that there are just too many manufacturers fighting over limited work driving the cost of the asset down. SSL has limited diversification and only does commercial satellites which severely limits the growth of the company. The management has not certified themselves as a certified US government manufacturer and too be honest it may be too late to get in the game. To add insult to injury their salaries are not competitive with Silicon Valley cost of living and MDA is out of touch with that reality.

      Co-workers, flexible work schedules, working on satellites.

      Cons

      Management style is bullying employees into what they want. If you don't do what they want they threaten to lay you off.
