Thank you for sharing your feedback. At SAM, we provide our employees with a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes generous paid time off and opportunities for professional development and career advancement. We appreciate the efforts our team members make every day to drive our success. There may be times when our team members work longer hours on a project to meet our business objectives and serve our clients. However, we encourage all to maintain a positive work/life balance. We understand working overtime means time away from personal and family interests and we thank you for your efforts during your time at SAM.

Pros

Good medical and dental insurance.

Cons

SAM, Inc. is a very strange place to work. The Austin office is the worst as far as politics and backstabbing are concerned. The Houston office is not managed as badly. The company treats the field crews and tech staff as disposable, with no concern for them. All in all a very poor place to work. There is a lot of politics and favoritism.

Pros

Decent medical & Dental. ***[There was a lot of drama in Austin, secret meetings by groups, management using IT to access other's emails, slamming doors to offices, intrigue, impossible deadlines - deadlines imposed by those that didn't have to participate in getting the work done.]

Cons

Management in the Austin office often used fear & intimidation to motivate their employees. S.A.M., Inc had a very high turnover rate - and they were quick to layoff, especially field personnel. The department that I worked in (Austin office) was managed by a psychopath - a clinical psychopath. He was very strange, verbal abuse, and rage were tactics he used to intimidate those he 'managed'.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that your experience at SAM was not positive. We strive to make SAM a great place to work for employees by offering competitive pay, good benefits, and fun monthly events. Most importantly, we promote an open door policy that encourages employees to discuss any issues with their managers or anyone in management that they feel comfortable with. We do not condone the inappropriate behaviors described in this review and would have taken the necessary steps to ensure that our managers lead by our Company’s values and core beliefs which focus on three simple things: take care of our people, provide quality products, and exceptional services to our clients. As with all companies, SAM sometimes has to make difficult decisions. One of the most difficult decisions to make involves a separation of a team member. I assure you that these decisions are not made lightly, as we understand the implications that they may have for those employees that are affected. I thank you again for the feedback. Both positive and negative feedback can only make us better. Chris Solomon, President
