Poor communication and unpaid work

Cons
I was hired through Remote Leverage for a position with a car dealership in Richmond, Virginia called 2 Brothers Automotive. From the beginning, communication was extremely poor. The owner, Kalen, was rarely available, frequently ignored messages and calls, and provided very little guidance or information necessary for me to perform my job effectively. After only 11 days of employment, I received an email just 45 minutes before my scheduled shift informing me that I was being terminated due to "performance" and "company needs." At no point was I given any warning, coaching, performance feedback, or opportunity to improve. The decision came completely out of the blue. What is even more concerning is that I have still not been paid for the hours I worked. I have repeatedly contacted Kenny, the Account Executive at Remote Leverage, regarding payment for my completed work. Responses, when they come at all, are extremely delayed and provide no clear answers. No one from Remote Leverage has proactively reached out to resolve the issue, and the dealership owner has completely stopped responding to my communications. Regardless of the circumstances surrounding my termination, employees deserve to be paid for the hours they have already worked. Firing someone without warning is disappointing; failing to communicate and leaving them unpaid is unacceptable. My experience with both Remote Leverage and 2 Brothers Automotive has been highly unprofessional. I hope someone from management sees this review and takes immediate action to resolve my outstanding payment.
