The company appears to have a disorganized jumbled business structure. Favoritism seems to carry greater weight than quality of work or policy. In the area I'm familiar with, there isn't what I'd consider an effective training system. Sink or swim. There is little to no management training and it shows. Poor performers and problem employees don't seem to be effectively addressed which hurts morale and productivity. All of the above means it's unlikely you'll be fired, but also unlikely you'll advance your career until someone retires (i.e., career purgatory).
