Pros

* The people are all very nice outside of upper management * Weekly Happy Hours

Cons

* THEY MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO GET COMMISSIONS YOU EARNED!!!! Never saw a dime * There is a HUGE turn over rate because no one is happy. This has resulted in a drain of talent * Disillusioned management * The office is deplorable... Old, smelly, every day found another cockroach or mouse * No career path or upward potential. If they do increase your title, don't expect your pay to increase... at all * No work from home! Management is allowed to but no one else is (hypocritical?)

Real Data Management Response

Thank you for your feedback, if you are still an employee I sincerely ask you to speak with someone here that can respond to your concerns and complaints. Much of what you mention could be addressed if we could get into more detail. I am very concerned that you say that it is impossible to get commissions you earned. I understand why you would be incredibly frustrated if you feel you are not able to achieve success. We have a clear commission agreement and pay eligible commissions every two weeks. Over the years our sales people have been very successful. Please speak to me about this so we can resolve your frustration. We do not have a formal work-from-home arrangement. It's something people ask for and we know it's a popular option, but it doesn't work for our company. This includes the leadership team or "upper management". However, we often make exceptions for people to work from home on occasion no matter their level. We are humans and understand that our employees have lives with car troubles, sick kids, or need to wait for the plumber to fix a pipe. It only requires you speaking to someone who can help you figure out a solution. As far as upper management goes, you don't have insight into an individual's specific arrangement so it's not fair to compare your situation to them. Let's talk in person about how we can make this a better place for you and everyone else. - Peter Boritz, CEO, RDM

Pros

small company atmosphere and a lot of very nice and good people work there.

Cons

i worked there for years and it became routine for me to have to deal with my wages not being paid out, and when i finally quit and moved on to another company, i was assured by management that i would be paid out for all of the back pay owed. i guess they lied because this still has not happened and after endless follow up and endless excuses on their part as a last resort I'm hiring a lawyer and will file legal action against rdm. needless to say, not a happy ending to an otherwise long and successful tenure at this company. shows a distinct lack of character on their part to treat a loyal former employee who worked his/her butt off like this! p.s. don't just take my word for it--numerous former employees of rdm have told me they faced similar challenges working at this company, so my experience is far from unique. sadly, this seems to be the norm and how they treat everybody.

Pros

Great 401k match and profit sharing program Great people to work with, family like atmosphere Happy Hour Thursdays, tuition reimbursement Company does really care about who you are as a person, in addition everyones door is always open for discussion(if youre comfortable doing so is another question) In my role and working in a smaller company like RDM you feel your work directly influences the success of the company, which is alot different than working for a larger company where your work sometimes doesnt see the light of day.

Cons

In my time working at RDM, one thing became apparent. Upper management rules everything. What is currently being promoted is an collaborative atmosphere but alot of the actual decision making power isn't in the hands of those 'hired' to make those decisions. Working in software, RDM was once an industry leader in CRETECH but due to poor decisions and investments from upper management have led to RDM falling way behind its competitors in the industry. With no set leadership or hierarchy in software alot of the hiring and firing decisions comes down to those at the top, both of whom are no way 'technical' in nature. Also ALOT of times things(promotions/incentive bonuses) will promise something to you and it will take multiple reminders and stern conversations for him to actually deliver. People want to be paid what they are worth today, not what you think they should get based on the work you expect them to do(as you would for an investment). Alot of people are underpaid and overworked and its sad because in talking to the team, its all the same story. Also the company doesnt pay its vendors on a timely basis, ive personally have had to vouch for vendors ive worked with on the job because of fear of burning bridges with critical resources(this has happened on countless occasions)
