Pros
Steady long term employment, much prefers to groom from within and hold onto major assets. Each department is more or less autonomous from each other so it could vary to some degree. The corporate ladder is very short here and there may only be 2-4 layers at most to the big man himself.
Cons
Loyalty comes at a price, when your that loyal to employees, you end of carrying extra baggage without any lift. Dead weight.
