Pros

- Many developers that are active in the open source community - Code quality / standard is very high - Good work / life balance with unlimited work from home without the need of a catastrophic reason (some other companies require you to prove that you actually _need_ to WFH). - They refresh their equipment often and you are allowed to ask for whatever makes you more comfortable (specific keyboard / mouse / etc)

Cons

- Being among super skillful developers sometimes can be overwhelming as you need to constantly catch up (in your spare time) otherwise you will be left behind quickly - Sometimes individualism prevails. The group mindset was lost a few times and 'heroes' emerged and were highlighted instead of being a group achievement.

Pros

Full-time WFH, 2 weeks Christmas Break, Good HMO

Cons

Mandatory Trainings are affecting the workload of everyone in the company, even if the employee has an on-the-road work. I have witnessed that the company failed an employee for a specific course for missing a day of the session due to the mandatory drug test that THEY also required him/her to do. According to them, even taking a sick leave requires you to have a medical certificate for missing that day, may it be a mild or severe case. In addition, if that employee chooses to have a vacation leave even if it's only for a day (within the course schedule), they will fail you on that course and will give you the option to enroll on a different course for you to make up your loss.

Pros

Remote work. End of year holidays.

Cons

Bullying and harassment run rampant especially if you are under Sales Team or are indirectly working with them. The sales team does not know how to sell a SaaS product, that's why they resort to cheap tactics (i.e. gifting, raffles, pageant sponsorships, etc.) and if you don't align with them they will strong-arm you into doing so. The CEO enables them by the way, so you have no place to go and expect no help when you get bullied by them. The current CEO also has no vision and no interest in Philippine Education as a whole. His only goal is revenue, nothing more. You are there to help them make money that's it. He does not care whether what they do helps their schools or not. The company mission is just a fancy slogan he does not even believe in. Watch his interviews and see for yourself. I don't see this company surviving in the long term, to be honest, so consider yourself warned!
