Publishers' Graphics Response

Thank you for taking the time to offer feedback. We regret that you had a negative experience while working with us at Publishers' Graphics. As a family owned and operated business, we strive to ensure that our employees are heard, respected, and know that they are the best part of our company. We don't try to be a disingenuous work "family", but rather, we aim to treat our employees with a high level of professionalism and respect. During a time when many companies were laying off employees, closing facilities, refusing to pay employees who had to be out because of COVID, and increasing insurance premiums, we did all that we could to maintain a safe, secure, and equitable employee experience. We offered additional paid holidays, pay to employees who had to be out with COVID or to care for family members with COVID, we stayed open and sustained operation to protect our employee's jobs, and protected current insurance rates at the expense of the company. These were all Nick's priorities during a globally tenuous time.... to protect the employees. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and thank you for your time at PG.

No real benefit to working here

Pros

Really great employees, who are really dedicated to their craft.

Cons

Owner who's a control freak. All about the power. Good ideas are considered to be a slap in the face to the owner, who's the only one to have good ideas. Tense work environment, distrustful management. Video cameras everywhere so that the owner can watch the employees' every move. Sub-par benefits and pay.

Pros

Absolutely no pros about working there.

Cons

No plus side at all. Terrible benefits, terrible pay, virtually everyone is hourly. New and different ideas are perceived as a slam against the owner,, who talks out of both sides of his mouth. Micro managing like you've never seen before. Video cameras record your every move. Most employees are afraid to say anything for fear of a screaming retaliation by owners and a few managers.
