Micro-management/rule by fear, on steroids

Pros

A culture of hard work and some good people at the lower levels. Location that is easy to get to.

Cons

CEO is a bully and has an aggressive nature (this is not just my opinion because it has come out repeatedly in his personal 360 reviews). Wants to make all decisions himself, and is happy to cut people up in front of others. Has a very poor retention record and has fired around half of the people he has hired to work for him, citing 'fit'. On the other hand, it takes forever for anything to get done, e.g. a software project that was supposed to launch mid-2016 is now looking like late 2017 and is on about the 5th missed deadline, mainly because he has lost control bu won't allow his team to make decisions.

This is a Toxic Environment, Bully CEO

Pros

The best part of working for Pillar To Post is learning to deliver results at a minimum budget. Sometimes you achieve, sometimes you don't but you get to learn new things. You get to do various tasks as the organization is lean. There is an opportunity to travel at least once a year to meet the franchisees in the US. There is a decent health benefit.

Cons

This is a toxic environment with a toxic CEO. The CEO has a small business mindset that runs the business like a thug. Many franchisees are not happy with him, so talking to the owners is sometimes very challenging. The CEO shifts his priorities and for the lack of a better word, is a bully.

Pros

Good exposure to real estate agents, and marketing program. Has franchisees throughout Canada and the USA. Yearly meetings to update franchisee.

Cons

Upper managements poor judgement, change of the LOGO was an uneccessary costly expense. It is usually used to improve companies image, but rarely has a significant payback. The current law suite is totally unavoidable. Upper management has to open up the communications fairly and honestly,
