Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Patheon full-time for more than a year
Pros
Good location. Co workers are great and you get to learn a lot from your peers. You get to network with staff at many of the top 20 pharma companies and the work is interesting. Making a difference in patient lives feels rewarding and you get to be involved in many different aspects of the business. The company subsidizes cafeteria meals so lunch is cheap. Salary is ok.
Cons
Systems and processes are broken and inefficient and management routinely ignores employee solutions that address root causes and instead focuses on band aid solutions that keep resulting in wasted energy and client frustration. Business processes are poorly designed and not documented which results in a lot of needless effort being spent on day to day transactions. There are a lot of SAP and Quality System enhancements that could support the business however due management’s short sightedness, management refuses to spend time to review our processes and develop the proper ERP system tools to deal with the issues. Management fixates far too much on short term revenue and OTD KPIs and too much time and energy is wasted reporting these numbers to corporate. Rather than creating a world class client experience and securing growth long term, site management wastes time irritating clients by “re-negotiating” (i.e falsifying) OTD Numbers and pressuring clients to disrupt their internal plans to There is zero focus on people at Patheon and managers are not given the time or skills to develop employees. Morale is low and there is a lot of unhealthy conflict between teams and managers which makes things even more difficult. Changes to roles are talked about but not explained to impacted staff and communication to staff lacks transparency. Employees have to fight managers to get basic training and new employee on boarding is appallingly bad.
