I have been working at PathFactory full-time for more than a year

    Pros

We are a lean and supportive team who's management regularly seeks feedback and makes plans on how we can improve together. We really work and win as a team and stay well connected despite working remotely. Started here as a BDR and have been challenged and supported in growing into the AE role. Several of my peers have done the same! So much opportunity for growth - professionally and personally. It's an exciting time to be at PathFactory and there is a lot of opportunity for success. We've hit our stride in 2020.

    Cons

We're definitely busy as a sales org, though I would say that is expected in a high-growth startup.

I worked at PathFactory full-time for less than a year

    Pros

At the time there were talented devs to learn from and great agile practices

    Cons

Company started to pressure devs with unrealistic timelines and lost a lot of the culture.

    Cons

Martech is saturated A lot of meetings were not relevant and took away time from BDR activity.

I have been working at PathFactory full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Great culture of hard working teammates; it makes a huge difference day-to-day when you genuinely trust the team around you - The product itself is in the most exciting place it's ever been (and I've worked here for a long time) - Recognition of hard work and priority on being mentally healthy is important to the company and to leadership - There's lots of learning to do and great work is rewarded - Leadership knows what they're doing

    Cons

    - Selling to marketers can be frustrating - Marketers are naturally skeptical of sales people so typical sales strategy don't always work; you need to be able to adapt to be successful here (lots of team selling and transparency with the customer)

I worked at PathFactory full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Potential Opportunity for growth and close colboration with AE's

    Cons

There isnt a great work life balance. Also, they completely blindsided the entire BDR team and some higher ups when Covd 19 first appeared around the world. We were all told that we would all be fine and that we should not be worried about losing our jobs. The following week (which no one saw coming) the entire BDR team was let go and many others. If you purely in a job for money this could be a good opportunity for yourself, but if you are looking to build a career I would recomend looking into a different company that views their great employees as indisposable.

    PathFactory Response

    December 22, 2020

Thank you for your feedback. It was unfortunate that we, like many companies, had to do a layoff in March of 2020 when COVID first started impacting businesses. While it was a very difficult decision, I understand how it impacted teams including the BDR team. It was definitely not a decision the company took lightly.

I worked at PathFactory full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - As always, the people. Plenty of very talented and friendly staff, always willing to help and generally look out for each other. - The co-founders are both great guys.

    Cons

    - Incredibly flat company structure, and you will have very little say in what you or team can do. - A lot of lip service from upper management with a lot of nice buzzwords about culture etc, but it's in direct contradiction to how the company is run. Feedback consistently falls on deaf ears. Personal favourite quote in response to a question about improving benefits plan was "but we got you a ping pong table" without a hint of irony. - You will be underpaid and overworked (which is standard for tech I guess), but it's far worse here than elsewhere. - I could never quite figure out the exact reasons, but not one member of staff feels truly valued in any way. Just a group of people used as pawns to make a board of directors & investors happy. Most "water cooler" chat is related to this sentiment.

    PathFactory Response

    July 28, 2020

Thank you for your feedback. While I love to hear you like our staff I am sad to hear you feel upper management is not listening to feedback. I want to assure you they value what our employees have to say. A ping pong table was bought last year only for the purpose of having fun in the office, I am sorry you felt it was disingenuous as that was not the intention. We review our benefits plan annually and ensure it is comprehensive and matches or exceeds those of our competitors in our industry. In fact, we added HumanaCare just last December as we found the mental health coverage of most plans did not provide the benefits we wanted for our employees. I wish I could have helped you use our benefits to its full potential. We are always happy to hear suggestions on what can be improved and encourage you to reach out if you’d like to provide more details.

I have been working at PathFactory full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I have had the pleasure of working at PathFactory for the last few years and have seen the company grow from 15 people to close to 100. I have grown my career here and feel so lucky to be a Pathie. When people ask me about PathFactory I say that this experience has been like my own version of an MBA - there have been changes in leadership, changes in product vision/GTM, changes in even our name & brand etc. all of which is extremely common in startups. I could never replace this experience and all I have learned here from some of the best in SaaS. This place is preparing me for a lifelong career in SaaS and for the realities of building a high growth company. Very thankful to be working side by side with such intelligent, thoughtful colleagues who I learn so much from.

    Cons

I have seen the cons on glassdoor include things like "fast-paced", "always busy", and "lots of change"- all of which I consider things you sign up for when you join a company of this size and in this stage of growth. (Anyone who tells you otherwise does not know what they're talking about). However, if all of these things are not for you, and you want a predictable/slower environment, perhaps a startup/high growth company isn't the right place for you.
