After 3.5 years working at Paragon, I was fired for no reason with no notice and no severance. It was a very clear stock grab, as I was one of the first four employees at the company, and I was fired just before a major client came on. I was explicitly told that there were no problems with my performance. John Holland (the CEO) made me numerous promises over the years about how he appreciated the work I was doing, and he would do his best to make sure I was compensated for it. Instead, he proved to be a liar and the very definition of a fraud - firing me when he did after 3.5 years at half salary just so he could get the stock I had for a pittance right before the company started taking off. All his very public promises to me were lies. The work environment is toxic, most of the employees have no backbone and go along with whatever John wants - no one is willing to stand up to him or for each other.
