Pros

-Nice Co workers. -Challenging get to work Hardware, Software, testing and debugging out in the field units.

Cons

-Outdated technology, although making some progress. -CEO (owner) will Micro manage you until you suffocate, no joke, very hard to communicate with. -Blaming environment, meaning if you make a mistake, Its about pointing fingers then avoiding or fixing problems. -Small company so Its about saving every penny. -Engineering very high turnover, nobody can handle dealing with CEO. -CEO manages with feeling style, or his alternative truth. -Think before joining, not worth it at all.

PS Engineering Response

I am sorry you felt micromanaged; I feel that I have failed you. One of the most important tasks a small business owner has is hiring individuals that not only have the appropriate skill set to keep the company moving forward, but who share the entrepreneurial spirit. Your feelings of micromanagement might have been a result of a lack a mutual set of common goals to meet engineering milestones. It’s imperative to me that all employees feel part of the team and feel comfortable in reaching out when help is necessary. I have been extremely fortunate to have hired and retain many extremely talented individuals that share common goals. Since the founding of this business in 1985, our average time length of employment is 15 years. Just last week we just celebrated the retirement of one of team members after 20 years of dedicated service. I believe this speaks well of both our culture and management. I wish you success in your next job and I hope that you will feel more comfortable talking with your new management.

Pros

* First Class General Aviation Products. Made In America with Pride. * Excellent Product Support. Attention to detail. No Customer Left Behind. * Supportive Cross-trained Team. Deep knowledge of their products. Low staff turnover. Over 80% of the employees have been in the company more than six years. * Great Quality Control System adheres to the higher F.A.A. Standard. * Outstanding Product Test Technicians that you can depend on to ensure products leave the door flawless. * Whole Product Life Cycle under one roof. Fast response time. In summary, you can be proud to contribute to the added value products this small business delivers.

Cons

* Small Business and Regulated Industry is a combination that will demand your best in providing safety by individual flawless execution. There is no room for undisclosed mistakes. An excellent Quality Process and a last line of defense in the product test team surely help. * Small Size Company (15 to 20 employees) with limited resources to deliver leading (not bleeding) edge technologies to the market. Their approach is evolution versus revolution. After all that makes senses in the aerospace industry (can you see much basic differences between a 1957’s Boeing 707 and a 2009’s Boeing 787?). This is not precisely a Mac store.

Pros

Everyone cares about each other, and the final product. Everyone wants to come to work, and do their best. Everyone works together for common purposes, which is to beat the competition. There is a depth of experience in the aviation and electronic manufacturing that is incredible, even in Tennessee.

Cons

Beause the company is small, it is overly dependent on the performance of each person. When somebody is out sick ot orherwise, the rest have to stretch a bit to cover for them. Soemtimes it might be hard for someone new to feel they can perform when everyone else has so much depth of skill and experience.
