I've worked on complex architectures, from single linux machine to cluster of AIX in HACMP, from geographical networks to windows infrastructure.
My skill in troubleshooting has increased many times and so the opportunity to be responsible for those infrastructure, alone or with a team of great collegues.
Cons
It's been stressful over any reasonable limit, in the last two years I had been available 7/24/365 for a critical client, and the internal infrastructure inadequate without hope to improve the situation.
