Pros

There's nothing positive to share. CEO is incompetent, Board runs the company without any understanding of health care, they are trying desperately to fool potential investors and prop the company up to sell. Check out the turnover rate of senior leadership as well as staff.....complete joke!

Cons

See above.....not a place to pursue a career

Thank you for voicing your concerns. We welcome a direct conversation to provide accurate information regarding the relationship between the board and investors. The Board includes members from health care, a Physician with Mayo experience, and also those adjacent to the health care space. We also have Board Observers from 3 of the largest Healthcare Companies in the US who also share their perspectives on the Company’s strategy, and we continue to retain close relationships with some of the largest Academic Medical Centers in the country, so continue to leverage healthcare industry executives in many ways. We have supportive investors who understand the products and the value they bring to patients, providers and payers. The CEO speaks regularly on the importance of being ethical and there is a strong code of conduct policy here, which employees receive in their training during onboarding. The company also employs external Legal firms for general counsel as well as serving as the Company’s Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer positions to retain independence from Company Management. There is a hotline available (anonymously, if preferred) if anyone ever feels there is anything unethical seen in the organization. To date, there have been no submissions about the CEO’s ethics or competence.

Rudderless and underfunded

Pros

At its core, a good product. Great mission to offer PGx at an affordable cost.

Cons

No funding, CEO doesn't really understand the science or the industry. For a startup, the CEO has an old school mentality (everyone expected to be at their desk working from 8-5). For a medical company, you would hope they would have more medical people than one PharmD.

(As of 4/22, OneOme has gained access to Glassdoor reviews to be able to reply. We apologize for the delay in responding on social media and acknowledge that it has caused unbalanced viewing for readers.) Thank you for your feedback; it’s always appreciated so we can take action steps whenever it’s appropriate to do so. Continuous improvement is part of the culture here. We have very supportive investors and backing by Mayo Clinic. We do have a different CEO as of July 2019. As we continue to grow, we have additional medical staff, like a Chief Medical Officer (MD), and other Ph.D.’s as well as Medical Affairs, Clinical Development and Quality departments.

Pros

Some very nice people work there. There’s a couple folks who are very collaborative very professional.

Cons

Upper management and sales does not understand it the laboratory. The company feels disjointed. People can micromanage each other and be in each others business. Very high rate of turnover most people have not worked there for very long.

Thank you for sharing that we could continue to improve cross-functional communication. Please contact your supervisor or Human Resources to discuss some potential solutions. Most employees would describe the environment here as being very collaborative, but we understand there may be pockets in which that may not be the case or the perception. While we haven’t escaped the effects of the “great resignation”; we’ve hired some very high caliber team members in recent months and continue to partner with employees to create a great culture at OneOme. One aspect of creating SMART goals is that they be “Achievable.” Please connect with your supervisor or HR to ensure that your goals meet that criterion and that follow up is quarterly, as planned.
