The work was pretty basic--I did not feel like I needed an engineering degree to do any of it. It was often tedious. It was discouraging to see folks who had been there ten years doing the exact same job I, as a new graduate, was doing. There did seem to be some promotion from within, but it seemed that folks were mostly content to plug away at the same type of work for their entire careers. I did not feel inspired to continue learning and growing.
