Pros

Excellent pay, generous PTO, and great small-company attitude. I worked as a technical trainer in a high-travel job, reporting directly to the CTO. I also worked as a lab engineer in a low-travel job, reporting directly to the CEO. In both cases, the experience was positive. Netorian is a "big kid" rules company; they pay you top dollar for your work and expect good performance. Supervision is low as a result, and the company never encroaches into your personal or customer-supporting professional life. There is no expectation, implicit or otherwise, to work unpaid or excessive overtime. They also give annual Christmas presents that are actually useful (Amazon gift cards, etc)., plus regular bonuses and raises. Management is always approachable and the entire organization has basically two tiers: C-suite and employees. The majority of C-suite folks are workers too, supporting various customers while running the business on the side. As a result, they "get it" and don't live in la-la land. No shareholders means less focus on the bottom line. They allow you to interact directly with customers and do not impose themselves as middle-men to steal praise. Minor perks may vary between exact jobs and supported customers, but here is a general list: pick your own laptop, pick your own phone, pick your own work hours, vacation has never been denied (even when things are busy), expense reports are easy, timecards are easy, generous referral bonuses, management is willing to move you between jobs (no turf wars).

Cons

Nothing of substance. The benefits are getting better as the company grows (and as Federal law mandates) but given the disproportionately high pay when compared to your peers, this hardly registers as a drawback. The company believes in putting more cash in your pocket so that individuals can make their own decisions, rather than providing ultra-comprehensive benefits with lower pay. For a single person with no kids or health issues, this was ideal. For those with families, more comprehensive benefits exist due to the ACA, but comes at a price (few hundred dollars per month for a family). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, long/short term disability, and 401k (possibly a few others).

Pros

Netorian is a small company and so does not get involved much in day to day business.

Cons

Raises are not consistent and reviews pretty non-existent. Difficult to know how the company and our clients view our work.
