      Pros

      Lovely team, great culture, good support, very technically competent engineers, access to training, personal responsibility & ownership. Hybrid/remote work, free food, coffee and lunch. Great work/life balance.

      Cons

      Progression may be fairly dependent on team/role/manager. Compensation is good, but not extremely competitive. Review cycle is yearly (hard to get promoted off-cycle).

      While the majority of our historical back-end code is in Perl, we are rapidly investing in other languages, such as Go. These days, many of our teams write little to no Perl, with it being less than 20% of all code written. We're constantly experimenting with new technologies and ways of working - exploration is in our DNA. And many experiments and hackathon projects make their way into production. We don't want any of our staff to feel they don't have an opportunity to work with moderns tools or lack the opportunity to try new things.
