Outdated culture lacks flexibility despite good benefits

Pros

In 2026, I've genuinely never seen a company so resistant to flexibility. The expectation is maximum commitment, maximum availability, and often going above and beyond, but with very little trust or flexibility in return. Work from home still seems like a foreign concept here. Leadership doesn't appear to understand that employees can be productive without being physically present in the office every day, or that having some control over where you work can make a huge difference to work-life balance. The culture feels outdated and overly controlling. If you value flexibility, autonomy, and being treated like an adult, this probably isn't the place for you.

Cons

Good benefits package, including private medical insurance and a few nice perks. The office is modern and well-equipped. The benefits often feel like they're there to soften the blow of having to be in the office five days a week.

Pros

The only pro is the 10 pound lunch voucher

Cons

There is very little support provided to new starters, and senior management appears disconnected from the concerns of staff at lower levels of the organisation. The HR department is disappointing, they are more focused on protecting managers and senior leaders than acting neutral and no confidentiality Training and onboarding is lacking. Staff are generally not proactive in providing guidance, and new employees are often expected to understand processes, procedures, and timelines without adequate support or instruction.
