Pros

- Be part of the psychedelic revolution! - Growth in terms of learning, responsibility, compensation, and role. - Low ego culture - not fixated on titles, hierarchy, and bureaucracy (zero office politics) - Great compensation - 'Set your own schedule' is a lifestyle game-changer - Insane level of autonomy - 100% remote - Passionate leaders from diverse backgrounds, which has stemmed from having unbiased hiring practices

Cons

- Best job of my life, but also the most challenging job of my life. It might not be for everyone.

Pros

- I've never worked somewhere that lives and references its company values so consistently. Everything done at Mindbloom is thought out and intentional, and the company values are no exception. Everyone at the company could tell you them off the top of their head, and tell you how they've aligned their work to them in the last week. - There's a rigorous interview process for new hires, which ensures that the people who work here are highly qualified and deeply mission-aligned. - This may be a small thing, but there is a culture of being "on-time and present" to meetings which is so refreshing. It means people don't show up late to meetings, meetings end on time, and nobody is multi-tasking during calls. It also means that you're only asked to attend a meeting if it is directly relevant to you and you benefit from being fully present. - Being encouraged to take time off and take care of yourself is something I have not experienced at other startups. My manager has consistently shown that they care about me as a person and I extend that same care to my direct reports. It is really nice to be in an organization that encourages that. - At the same time, everyone who works here is a A-player and the work people produce is top notch. So in that way, it feels very "SV startup", but with ethics :)

Cons

- It's still a small-ish company so some of the benefits aren't great - There's not redundancy (which is mostly a pro) but also means that when you're taking time off you have to get creative with your coverage. - As others mentioned, the culture is very meeting-light which isn't for everyone.

Does not live up to core values

Pros

Passion for the work we do, working with other folks who are equally passionate, remote work, autonomy.

Cons

For a company that states their core values create the foundation - their foundation is crumbling. Multiple employees spoke up, we have been advocating our need for a living wage for months, since last year. We are continuously ignored while leadership over hires new employees. It’s like a carousel… once an employee gets burn out from low pay / high stress work, another excited and passionate employee will come take its place. And then once that employee gets burn out… another one is just waiting to come in. This work is great but we are not supported to bring the best energy to our work. Yes this effects clients. We get $23/hr maximum, most guides get $20-$21. No benefits. No guarantee hours. No help from leadership. They make big promises in on parsing but do not follow through.
