Good projects, frantic pace, management chaos

Pros

Very good projects, the best clients in the region, great variety of projects, great new office, nice coworkers, good benefits, generally progressive culture.

Cons

Terrible deadlines, lots of evening and weekend work, very poor support from upper management, cliquish office culture, a couple of angry people in senior leadership, opaque management, crises are common, leadership is stressed and overworked and often unresponsive or reactionary.

Pros

Having worked at a few firms before here it’s genuinely hard to think of something that is a “pro” that isn’t just a normal thing at any other architectural firm. It’s a pretty cool office space.

Cons

They are a firm that grew big and fast. A lot of higher up people would absolutely not have their job title if they had to apply to another firm based off of their portfolio and skillset. If you are coming in with a developed/unique skillset they will most likely start you at the bottom of the totem pole behind people that just haven’t had the capability to get a job at a more advanced firm. Lastly, there have been a couple layoffs in my time here and yet the founders keep showing up in extremely expensive lifted trucks, pretty horrible optics.

Pros

Lots of work to do and great team members. Everyone is so dedicated to getting projects done well for the clients, it was easy to work as a part of the team, even after a few weeks of working there.

Cons

There were some woke people there. But if you didn't bother them, they wouldn't bother you
