MDI was a frozen warzone where they ran a 6-month timer demanding you hit 70% production or get fired, while creating impossible conditions that kept you at 48% max. I was one of 66 MDI workers (plus other companies) crammed into freezing warehouses with double pallet jacks, doing NASCAR-esque training courses with 17 people driving on water around cones and poles with a guy standing in the CENTER, then sent into -21°F freezers where people pulling out almost crushed you DAILY (I almost lost an arm that day), while lift drivers called you “c word” for doing your job and one guy who DID get hit by a lift got “promoted” and just limped around as a living warning. They made you stack potatoes, oranges, bananas, apples, and peppers on the BOTTOM with heavy things on top (destroying everything), demanded 5% more production DAILY (which would be 300% improvement after 60 days - mathematically impossible), tracked your bathroom breaks so even using the restroom killed your productivity, and I dropped from 211 to 170 pounds because the stress made it impossible to eat properly. They appeared to only care about OSHA when they announced they’d be there how they didn’t get more injury lawsuits I don’t know genuinely bc people got hurt all the time. I’m assuming NDAs and settlements. I left after 3+ months when I saw the pattern, barely surviving what was essentially a legalized worker exploitation operation that treated humans like disposable machines in a frozen environment where production quotas mattered more than your life, limbs, or basic human dignity. All I can say is thank god I have my limbs
