Pros

ThePros The organisation has an excellent work culture, supported by approachable senior leadership, strong HR policies, and highly knowledgeable employees. There is a genuine focus on delivering high-quality engineering work rather than simply prioritising speed or short-term outcomes. Having worked in several large organisations previously, what stands out most are the company's values and its people-first approach. Employees at all levels, including senior management, are open to feedback and receptive to ideas and opportunities for improvement. Access to leadership is easy, and there is very little hierarchy when it comes to discussing ideas or raising concerns. The organisation also offers a high degree of flexibility and trust, allowing employees to work in ways that suit them while remaining focused on outcomes. For people who bring ideas, initiative, and passion, there is strong support and encouragement to make an impact. Cons As with many organisations following an acquisition, there have been some integration and transition challenges, although these appear to be largely behind the company now. The current focus has shifted towards growth and scaling, which naturally requires employees—particularly those in leadership and management roles—to work differently and, at times, harder than before. This evolution is likely to be less of a challenge for developers, architects, and other hands-on delivery roles, but it does require managers to adapt to new expectations and ways of working.
