Pros

At first, I thought I'd hit the jackpot. My colleagues were some of the most amazing and talented people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Unfortunately that's where it ends.

Cons

The other reviews have it covered but I'll reiterate. The CEO does not trust anyone in his company and therefore has absolutely no idea how to foster growth or professional relationships with them. The people he DOES trust are so terrified of him (because he's a megalomaniac who will cut entire departments on a whim) that they won't tell him when his ideas make no logical or financial sense. It's no wonder he's run companies into the ground before this. The company will throw money at something and abandon it when it's half baked and then lay off loyal people in the name of budgeting. The CEO will introduce new processes that have no logical explanation, ignore actual data and logic from the people who will have to execute those processes, and the lackeys he directs to carry out his orders will tell you that it doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense, just follow orders. If the toxic work environment isn't enough, the product is horrible and they don't stand behind it, leaving their support team to have to put up with the most abusive customers that can't even be blamed for their outrage because they paid an exorbitant amount of money for a product that fails more than it works, has next to no QA, and is backed by a product team that couldn't care less about maintaining current customers. The customer experience is abysmal not because of the support team, but because how do you expect them to support a "luxury" product that doesn't work and a company that just doesn't care? The CEO sets his own people up for failure by not paying distributors and therefore never having enough supply to meet the demand, and then holding them accountable for low profits, meanwhile the return rates are through the roof because the products... don't work. Once, someone condescended to me about how I should have read the Glassdoor reviews before accepting the job because they're all true. My mistake, obviously. The money seems to be good until you realize there are other companies that will pay better, provide a better work/life balance, and actually let their employees do their jobs instead of treating them like cattle to herd along to the whims of one man. The company seems to care about diversity until you realize there's only one person who holds any actual power. They seem to care about talent until you realize that they run their most talented people to the ground until their will is broken. They seem to care about - actually I think that's probably it. There's no HR department, no legal department, no recourse for the walking lawsuit waiting to happen, no support for employees who have any kind of complaint. Some people have learned to keep their heads down and their mouths shut to keep a paycheck. Good for them, couldn't be me. At this point I'm almost positive the owners are keeping the business afloat with their own money.
