Pros

People here genuinely care - about the product, about improving it, and about each other. Seeing teammates pour their hearts into their work is contagious in the best way. The leadership team brings real expertise in their domains, a great sense of humour, and creates an environment where you feel psychologically safe. Despite being fully remote, there's a natural warmth to the team - even in online meetings, people are curious about each other's lives and want to connect, not just get through the agenda.

Cons

Health benefits during the first year of employment could be better - there's currently no dental coverage until after that initial period, which can be a real gap for new joiners. Offering fuller coverage from day one would make a meaningful difference.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate the feedback, even when it’s difficult to read. We recognize that feedback could have been more consistent toward the end of the probation period, and that’s something we’re actively reflecting on and working to improve. At the same time, performance feedback was shared throughout the process, and the concerns raised were recorded. Our onboarding includes a structured 90-day plan with clearly defined KPIs, set up in our people management platform from day one. This ensures expectations around performance are transparent and shared from the outset. The decision not to extend beyond the probation period was based on performance against those benchmarks, not on cultural background or personal dynamics. We’re proud to have a genuinely international team with colleagues from more than 40 countries, and inclusion remains a priority for us. We also want to address the suggestion that this outcome came as a surprise. Feedback was shared at the midpoint of the probation period, and the performance concerns were communicated at that stage. We understand the timing felt difficult, and we’re sorry for that, probation period endings are never easy. More than half of our team (90 people) has been with MailerLite for over 3 years, and we’re proud of the culture we’ve built and the trust our colleagues place in us. We’ll keep listening and continue improving. - The People Experience Team
