Pros

Pays on time.. but who don’t?

Cons

Scandalous, liars etc. so called management is always angry and very unprofessional. Their proud “Never had a lay-off” pride is bs because all they do is fire their employees. The same week all overtime is cut they fire one for not liking the uniforms, the second for taking care of sick family during covid 19 pandemic and the third because they decided to bypass the “strict” attendance policy and skip to termination. No management, no supervision, no knowledge of how to run a shop professionally. It’s like a prison ran by the prisoners, or should I say a Kindergarten ran by the kindergartners. Experienced higher paid employees train the new inexperienced low paid employees and are later terminated. DO NOT recommend unless you are desperate and don’t care about security.

Pros

They hire entry level machinists. They will supply you with the tools you need to do your job indefinitely or until you’re able to acquire your own. I personally was paired up with a wonderful senior operator and was allowed to remain paired up for about a month before being given my own lathes to run (not typical of them to do that).

Cons

Very low pay. Not just for me as entry level but across the board. The senior operator I was with barely made over $20 an hr and he’s been machining for over 20yrs. The company flat out will not pay these people what they are worth. Working conditions are horrid. I am not new to a shop floor. I know I’m going to sweat in the summer however when it is so hot in the shop that people are passing out, vomiting or my favorite having to go to ER all from heat exhaustion I feel like they should do something about it. Oh, and don’t you dare get sick or have to leave work from said heat exhaustion because you will get a point for leaving, doesn’t matter if you have a doctors note or not. Benefits package is very expensive also.
