Empty promises

Pros

If you consider working contract or part time it is good because you will not get involved in their horrible internal politics amongst staff and which management silently condoned. As long as you work and demand your pay it is ok. work part time

Cons

There are lots but most importantly the top management like the Directors and the leadership people are hypocrites. They promise a lot but do not keep their promises. When asked for what was promised after delivering the work, the Directors especially will twist and turn and change stories. Those who seriously want to work there have to take note that you have to stroke the Director's egos. So even if your work is not up to standard but you know how to flatter the egos of the management, you will get by. Those who work seriously and quietly will get bullied because work will be piled on them. Full time employees get dumped with a lot of things especially if you are the quiet and compliant sort. If you complain the Directors will talk to you and give a a few goodies and then go on as per normal. Do not believe in promises made especially in terms of pay because they will never pay. Make sure everything is written clearly on your contract before you sign. Every detail like pay, bonus, leave. job scope etc must be clearly stated. Do not go on goodwill . Do not accept their friendly behavior as nice people because behind that nice appearance and nice talk are cold and caculating business people. The turnover is so high with full time staff and one of their staff actually died on the job! This staff is the brother of the Director and he had a medical condition whcih they all knew but even then they still piled work on him and he actually collapsed and died on the job one day and left behind 2 young children. So pitiful and sad to see how they can even work a close relative to death. Morale is low and everything done in the name of change is only superficial. There is no real change --only a lot of talk and the Directors and their appointed leaders are the same. They allow snitching and politiking so it is not a place for growth. Do not trust what you see and hear from the Directors and those close to them because all talk only.

Not Transparent

Pros

Some people are nice and friendly.

Cons

Some processes are not in place. Operations are not transparent. People are promoted or penalised without hard evidence. Place is run by favouritism. To stay long, one must "curry favour". There is politics. Those with potential and can do the job are not recognised, unless they are already liked. Management protects those who are in favoured group, even if they are not good workers. Workload is heavy. These are some reasons why new or young employees don't stay long. Many full-time staff are not happy, but people go on working and pretend; when they find a better job elsewhere, they leave. Learning Point likes to say it is a Christian-run company, but it does not follow Christian values. Disappointing.
