Pros
The staff is wonderful, and kind. The teachers really have everyone's backs. The company was good about giving us free meals once in a while.
Cons
Wow, where to start.. I don't know if this pertains to just MY location, but management was unreliable. Management liked to choose little cliques within the centre, and would also regularly use their computer for personal use throughout the day while all of us ran around trying to get things done before close. Incredibly rude and catty with staff. The staff turn over rate was absolutely atrocious. So many people quit while I was there because the job was insanely stressful. I've never worked in a daycare like that before. Rooms weren't shut down properly when entire classrooms were getting sick, teachers are REGULARLY left out of ratio, and a lot of times we got in trouble for sending home sick children because the parents would get angry. They also just expect way too much out of their teachers. There's only so many hours in the day to get things done and they pile so much work on top of what you're already doing. Consistently underpaid teachers and lied about raises. They used to post job advertisements and offer more money to the new people they were hiring than the people who already worked there in the exact same positions. Head office was called and we were told the amount ($) on the job posting was a "typo". They never once took the job posting down, or edited the hourly wage. This place made me sad to work at.
