Pros

Montreal is a nice city.

Cons

Based on my personal experience, I found the work environment to be unhealthy, to say the very least. There were many warning signs, including a strong "we are a family here" vibe, that in practice, felt unprofessional and chaotic. During my time there, I observed significant turnover in the engineering team, which is looks like a sign of unstable culture. Human Resources support felt very limited. Multiple concerns have been raised over time, but from my perspective, little visible action followed. Interaction with HR were often tense and did not feel supportive. Overall this company made the role much more difficult than expected. I would recommend anyone thinking about joining them to avoid or be prepared for this kind of environment.

Pros

I work in the Lansweeper Canada Office in Montreal as a project manager. The office is really pleasant and hybrid work is availaible. I love the people who I'm work with, all are team players. When you have a problem, you always find someone to help you with it. The C-level team is also easily accessible, a real plus. I'm working on cross functional projects and it's really interesting to work with people who come from different country with different cultures. As the company grows quickly, there are multiple ways to evole in it and you can move from an office to an other (with conditions). Differents internal initiatives like the Women in Leadership program or the mentorship program are here to help us with learning soft skills too. For example, in the Montreal Office, we speak french as first language. Lansweeper offers us English courses to improve our English skills. More pratically : - the Canadian office is close to a subway station and it's easy to park your car if needed, - a lot of lunch and afterwork are organized, - a great reconnect event each year with all employees. - the insurance program and the vacation program are good - you have a budget for personal sport activities - you have a great laptop and accessories to work. And a lot of fun with your colleagues 😊

Cons

As Lansweeper is growing very fast, we are facing challenges with the ways of working, processes and roles and responsabilities, that is normal and the management team is taking care of this subject but it takes time and in the midtime you can have some moments of frustration. We are building the company in the same time we are launching a lot of new features and services for our partners and costumers. The team spirit, committed colleagues, and the good management team are allowing us to succeed.
