Micromanaging at its worst. This may seem dramatic or extreme, but I assure you every word is true. Please reconsider what you can handle before committing to working here. The owner is frankly not a good person. She enjoys belittling others and talks badly about everyone she encounters. And I truly mean every single person, from employees, to contractors, to people in her personal life. She never had a positive thing to say about anyone behind their back. And the things she would speak about, sometimes very personal things about others that we shouldn’t have knowledge of, were always so inappropriate. It was very off putting and highlighted her lack of integrity. The company is practically non-existent but for 1-2 employees because everyone has quit, from mass walk outs to individuals quitting after just starting. The retention rate is appalling at this point. There is absolutely no accountability from the owner. To do her best to prove a point or put a person down, the owner will change an entire “process” (I put process in quotation because there is not an actual fully developed process in place, not one) and then change it back as it suits her argument. On top of that any tiny anomaly results in entire “process” changes as well (hint the statement about there not actually being a fully developed process in place), and then changed again seemingly as the wind blows with no actual positive impact on the company. Most of the changes were made in the owners futile attempt to control every single thing and person involved. Even the customers! It was madness. There is so much more I, and others, could go on and on about when it comes to working here. And I was here for only a few short months. It was miserable. Please seriously consider what kind of nonsense you can handle before committing to this place. No autonomy whats so ever, madness, frustration, dishonesty, inappropriateness, under-staffed, under-paid for the amount of work, belittling, disrespectful, UNPROFESSIONAL.. these are just a few words that describe what you will experience working here.
