Pros

* Devs have the chance to get real ownership. You can shape the work. * There's no shortage of interesting problems to work on. * People care about each other. Newcomers are warmly welcomed. * The product is really helping students improve their grades

Cons

I feel like this company is having a teenager moment. We are too big to act with disregard for the consequences but not big enough that we have certain processes under control.

Pros

The best part of working at Kiddom is the people. My coworkers are incredible and all care deeply about Kiddom's mission and work. The job is fast-paced and is perfect if you're skilled at wearing many different hats. There are many supports available if needed, but you're also given the autonomy to own work when applicable. There's tons of flexibility to collaborate and work with cross-functional teams, which is essential to Kiddom's mission.

Cons

As with any newer company, the processes and workflows are ever-changing. The environment is AI-rich, and as Kiddom finds its niche in the industry, many things ebb and flow. This can be challenging if you're someone who is not agile when it comes to adapting to new tech, procedures or team structures.

Pros

If you're looking for a place to coast, this probably isn't the right fit. Kiddom is a fast-paced startup where priorities move quickly and there's always more to do. That said, if you enjoy building, solving challenging problems, and having a direct impact on the business, it's a great environment. You'll have opportunities to take ownership, learn quickly, and work alongside smart, mission-driven people

Cons

As the company scales, some decisions are still centralized at the leadership level that could potentially be delegated to managers and their teams. This can occasionally create bottlenecks and slow down execution, particularly when quick decisions are needed. Continued investment in delegation and empowering leaders closer to the work would help the organization move even faster.
