Pros

Its a "fun" and "hip" place to work. They provide food and beer. There are/were some seriously talented people at the company. If your looking for short term work, this is the place to be.

Cons

You will be given unrealistic sales goals. You are expected to work long hours. Devon preaches about the work/life BLEND, but what he really he means is work 9-6 at the office, then continue when you get home. Devon has a massive ego and has no problems showing it. The BIG red flag is that more than half of the company has left or been let go since I left, including a founding member. They will suck you in with their core values, but don't be fooled - if you don't meet their unrealistic expectations, you will become just another former Insightpool employee. Based on speaking with many of my fellow former co-workers, the company doesn't last for much longer before they run out of investment money. So steer clear - there are much better company's to work for.

Thanks for leaving this and allowing for us to address highly specific points. With respect to work/life BLEND that is absolutely a term we practice. There is flexibility in working from off site and not tracking vacation, and with that flexibility means we absolutely still engage off hours. Most do in the modern world of smartphones. It's interesting that you are calling the CEO a coward...from behind an anonymous review engine--but we invite you to send him a note directly. Someone that starts something from scratch and risks everything for a company is not what we would refer to as that..quite the opposite. We wish you the best in your next endeavor and should you ever like to provide your feedback in a more constructive manner we are happy to hear from you directly. Thank you

A Stepping Stone, But Nothing More

Pros

The people. Hands down some of the best there are. Or at least that's how it used to be. Lots of ways to make coffee. Free snacks and beer.

Cons

The product. What you're selling is not unique, and it certainly is not superior to other offerings. It also doesn't perform the way it's sold. Leadership. Or lack thereof. It's more chaos, pivot, back to the drawing board. Pay. Entirely venture capital and angel investor funded, so salaries (and resources) are low. CEO invests in sports cars and multiple homes, not his company. High turnover of great, talented people. The "Be a Family" core value couldn't be further from the truth. Zero of the original founders are still involved beyond a weekly stroll through the empty office. CEO was not an original founder, but came later. Core values are not lived, but just look good on the wall. High executive turnover. Previous COO, CMO, and multiple VPs have left or been forced out. If the team closest to the CEO can't hack it, how will you? Revenue. Or again, lack thereof. The reliance on investment money is so high, the MRR is quite the opposite. If a round of funding doesn't come in or is less than expected, there WILL be layoffs. This is not "high growth" as they'll tell you, and certainly isn't sustainable.

Sorry your time at the company didn't work out. It's interesting that you mention turnover of talent and that many were entry level and have been successful in later career paths...that actually is a compliment to our training. We are very proud of the internal promotions that have happened at the company and many that started here as 'entry level'. As companies grow and change, different skill sets are required at different points in this evolution. We are proud of those that have spent some of their professional career with us, and extremely proud of those that continue to grow with us here. We wish you the best in your future endeavor.

Pros

The people were the only reason I enjoyed my job here...but from what I know most of them have quit/were fired...thankfully I left before that happened to me

Cons

Most of the things written in the post below is true...also the team was told to write reviews here on Glassdoor...if you look at the positive reviews they are all written within 1-2 days of each other...overall not a great work environment when everyone is worried about job security

Pros: We appreciate that you recognized how great our people are here. Insightpool strategy moved to a more enterprise driven product and we firmly recognize that there were some that initially didn't fit that exact mold. I think you will also be surprised at exactly how many people we helped place at their new jobs, and how often our CEO gives incredible references to any that are not here anymore. Cons We are sorry you are choosing to agree with things stated that are absolutely not true, but understand that a career here did not work out for you. We have a new culture czar that will be following up with you to get your complete perspective on how we could have made your experience better regardless of it not working out. Thank you
