Pros

Colleagues - You will rarely find such camaraderie anywhere Job Experience - You will thrown into the deep end to learn how to swim.

Cons

This is going to be detailed and may read like the company policy (cause it is) so if you want a TLDR just read the numbered headings. 1. You are underpaid and overworked. The teams are very small the management wants them to do everything and on time. You have to deal with clients directly. The nontechnical team and management frequently promise these clients features and deadline without consulting the technical team (you). Putting undue pressure on you. Since the attrition rate is very high you will be asked to do several jobs (some non-technical even) simultaneously. Some of these jobs will be of those above your designation and some below. Everyone is expected to everything. The hierarchy is CTO->COO->point of contact (usually same designation as you or could be you in 6 months cause your POC resigned)->you 2. There is no job security. In case the management thinks you are dispensable for any reason, whatever may be your designation and however long you may have worked for the company. You can be warned today and be terminated by the end of the week. 3. Long work hours, overtime and no leaves. The work hours at Inscripts is 10am to 7pm Monday to Saturday. Be ready to work overtime for free. If you do not see point 2. If you need to leave your workspace for anything (lunch, tea etc) you have to make and entry in employee movement register. If you exceed the allotted 1 hour break (total in a day) for whatever reason even by a couple of minutes, you will be warned, your pay might be docked and you may even have a hearing with the CEO. Also, the leaves are as follows: 1.5CL per month, 5 regional holidays and 4 national holidays. That’s it no SL etc Also all the above except NH are subject to approval (CL’s are usually never approved). If you fall sick and use a CL you have to get doctors certificate. If your leave is unapproved 1.5-day salary will be docked. First 3 months is probation (usually is extended to 6 months) in which you have no leaves except NH. Also please note you have reduced salary during this time. 4. Bloated CTC no benefits. THERE IS NO PF. You will be asked to sign a letter saying you don’t want PF. There are no claims or allowances. Almost 90k+ per annum will be added to your CTC in the name of bonus (see point 5). 5. The bonus will be added to your CTC beforehand and never paid. It is basically a scam. Numbers shift a little depending on how long you work at Inscripts but you should get the basic idea. Consider you join April 2016 as a fresher. Your CTC for 1 year will be around 2.72 lacs. But you get paid only 1.92 lacs by April 2017. Where is the other 80k? Around 30k will be designated as a performance bonus and 50k as a loyalty bonus. Now the full amount of loyalty bonus is paid out at the end of 5 years. The average age of an employee at Inscripts is 1 to 1.5 years meaning you can forget the loyalty bonus. Now for the performance bonus, how much bonus is to be paid is decided in October appraisals. Since you joined in April you don’t fall into the appraisal cycle (need at least 7-8 months unclear policy), your next appraisal will be in OCT 2017. This is when you will get assigned some bonus amount based on performance. This will be roughly 1 salary irrespective of CTC amount, so 10k to 16k based on your performance between April 16 and Oct 17. Now this won’t be paid instantly half (~7k) will be paid in March 2018 and remaining in Aug 2018. Btw you lose this amount if you quit before it is paid out, does not matter if you have earned it by working for it or that it has been added to your CTC. However long you stay you will always lose at least 1 years’ worth of bonus. 6. Appraisal and appraisal cycle is a joke. There are quarterly reviews which have no bearing on the appraisals and promotions. It completely depends on what the COO think about you. Two people in the same team with the same grade may get different hikes. Forget that I have received a better hike with average grade and lower hike with above average grade. Also, you need to work for at least 7-8 months before you are eligible for appraisals irrespective of when you joined. 7. Dead end job. You will be given little or no training. You will learn a lot in the first year at Inscripts after which you will plateau. But beware if you get assigned to CometChat web team you will be working only on core technologies such as PHP (no framework no OOPS), JS, JQuery, HTML, and CSS. You will be expected to work like a pro but will be given little to no training. There are very few if any experienced members in the technical team to train/guide you. Please note in the outside world this will mean very little for your career. 8. There is a 2 to 3 year contract (bond) of 50k to 1 lac You can either give them your documents (mark sheets) which will be kept as hostage or give them the money amount which will be returned (please note without interest) at the end of bond period (if they cannot compel you to quit before that time). 9. Company policies are one-sided and can be changed anytime by management without any warning or consent. The company changed from 5 day work week company to 6 day work week company. That is 20% extra work with no pay increase or additional leaves. If you do not agree you can resign (and pay the bond amount of course) 10. Notice period is undefined. There is no fixed notice period. You can be assigned anywhere between 22 to 66 working days at the whim of the management (i.e always 66 days), irrespective of your designation, salary, current responsibilities, and workload. Also note there is no notice period if you are terminated. You may be asked to serve 22days notice when you resign but then at the management’s whim, this may be increased by whatever days (up to 66). There are no negotiations or buyouts. You can even be terminated during your notice period!

Pros

Hard to find any Pros in a place where people are just cursing the time they fell into this trap.

Cons

Imagine a workplace where employees are happily working in their field of expertise with appropriate training and are appreciated for their efforts. Inscripts is exactly opposite of this and much worse. Forget being appreciated for the arduous tasks, the upper management is waiting to point fingers for any thing that goes wrong. After paying peanuts, they expect the work to be completed even before it is conceptualized. Dead lines for projects are given by a person who deserves to sit out side the building with a stick in her hand. And if pressure is directly proportional to the force applied, the two brother who run the company must be completely exhausted by now and I suggest them to pack their bags and go seek a place in the Himalayas where they can try to find peace of mind. Only if they manage to survive their own malfactums haunting them till their graves.

Pros

Sorry There are none. Only the colleague which share the pain with you.

Cons

Day night shifts. No extra pay. They will put you in support and will make fake promises. There is hardly any senior person with whom you can rely on. The worst team is the CometChat team which is managed by really shameless people who look for their own benefits. No Good Pay. No Bonus, Increments are a joke. Really needs to be done something about this.
