Pros

This is a paying job.

Cons

My nearly 2-year tenure with ImagiCorps was one of the most challenging experiences I've ever endured in my professional career. I’m writing this after seeing my former role reposted, because I believe candidates deserve a clear picture of what this position can involve. As Purchasing Manager, I experienced a high stress and often uncomfortable environment that went far beyond normal workplace conflict. I felt my input was dismissed or undervalued, despite being hired for my qualifications. I frequently felt that my contributions were not taken seriously, and I perceived differences in how I was treated compared to others on the team. There were several instances where communication from leadership felt harsh or unprofessional to me, including being yelled at during a private meeting with the CEO. I also encountered situations where I was asked to participate in practices that I personally felt uncomfortable with. When I raised concerns with HR, I did not see meaningful changes during my time at the company. At one point, I was asked to complete a course on emotional intelligence, with the understanding that it would be part of a broader initiative for the management team. To my knowledge, that broader rollout did not occur. I found that both discouraging and ironic, considering the ways in which the CEO and I are opposite. The “roll up your sleeves mentality” described in the job posting translated, in practice, to a highly reactive, chaotic, and unstructured environment. Priorities shifted frequently, expectations were not always clearly defined, and I regularly worked 50+ hour weeks while also feeling pressure to remain available outside of standard working hours. Boundaries and a work-life balance were difficult to maintain. For those considering a role here, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions during the interview process about management style, communication norms, and workload expectations. Balance the reviews posted here with what is said during the interview process to determine whether this environment is a good fit. Ultimately, I chose to leave in order to find a more structured and supportive workplace. I now know that there ARE companies out there that value their employees by appreciating their differences, encouraging work-life balance, and supporting their future goals, both professionally and personally. ImagiCorps is not that place. It's sad that the CEO seems more focused on boosting ratings and public perceptions instead of on accountability, reflection, or meaningful culture change from the top down.

Pros

There are many lovely people who work here, who don't reflect the abhorrent culture created by the owners. Unfortunately, it is not enough to enjoy working here.

Cons

This company is run by a dysfunctional family that brings its family drama into the workplace. They have an obscene past that I won't put here. If you are ever curious, just search 'Thomas and Susanne Hutchinson' and click the first link; it should be at Justia Law. If you want to work for vindictive individuals with a passion for public humiliation, be my guest. But if you just take one look at the rest of the reviews here, just know you have been warned.
