Pros

Love that we can get drunk at work. Having hard alcohol and beer less than 20 feet from my desk is amazing. Yes sir. We are playing with lots of other people's money while ineberated. Good times for all. Cheers! Love that we are encouraged by management to lie to clients. We just had massive layoffs, and friends are jumping ship, so there is a ton of work to do. This is great since I really like working 12 hour+ days - NOT! But I am taking on projects which I would not have previously. There is so much disorganization that I do not know who my manager is... Lots of potential.

Cons

Firedrills every day. There are two conditions: emergency and ignore. The knowledge which was lost from the latest layoff will be lost forever.... who am I going to turn to when I have a question? Try to get information from management or have them make a decision about a critical client issue/question. Good luck there! There is no future here. I can see the writing on the wall- before next summer, this is going to be a skeleyton crew because more people will have left and clients will eventually catch on.

Pros

-Above average compensation (Varies by department) -Nice office space. Free beer, games. Indirect lighting. Plenty of whiteboard walls. -Really good about allowing an employee to laterally switch roles/departments if there is an opening -Flexible schedule -9 paid holidays in US -Many colleagues are pleasant to work with -The office closes 3 hours early on Fridays during the summer. However since I had to work most weekends last summer this wasn't really that great.

Cons

-Concerns from developers are routinely ignored -Almost daily process changes with little communication -Developers are encouraged to sacrifice maintainability and user experience in favor of speed of development -Review process encourages competition and discourages teamwork between employees -Promises from management often go unfulfilled -QA process causes stories to stay open over several sprints -Extremely high turnover in the last few months(well into the 30's now)

We are continuing to evolve and grow the IgnitionOne technology platform to one that is more self-service and SaaS based across all of our product lines. In doing so we are developing new code and integrating an existing code base simultaneously - which is always very challenging. Our industry and our competition require a high-level of velocity from our talented employees. IgnitionOne has an entrepreneurial culture that encourages employees to innovate and be proactive when solving difficult problems; new methods, technology, and creative solutions are only a hand raise away. We are continuing to grow our extremely talented family of employees here and truly appreciate your hard work. Please come talk to me or our CTO. We greatly value the opinions of our employees as we continue to strive to make this the best possible work environment for our employees. –Roger Barnette, President
