IQPC - Beware, what you see is not what you get

Pros

The office environment is fun as the team is full of young and vibrant sales executves. There is a family atmosphere and the sales managers are very considerate to junior sales staff

Cons

Senior management is based in NY and not directly involved with what is going on with the Toronto Office. There is a detachment which is not condusive for development. The senior management who are making all the decisions are not sales people and do not fully understand the process. They claim to be different from the competition but they are actually worse

Cons

IQPC is a very high pressure sales environment. Even roles that aren't technically sales roles are sales roles. It is very repetitive, there is not room for free thought, and you are essentially using and making money off of professionals who are leaders in their fields. Everyone around me was constantly lying about our product to make money and then dealing with the aftermath later. It felt like we were conning people into paying us thousands of dollars to attend our events. If you want a job that matters and one that you can feel good about in any way, do not work for IQPC. It literally would not matter if IQPC ceased to exist. I was also told that I would make alot of $$... I made a terrible salary with a profit share that was always promised to be way more than it was. Per diem and travel benefits are also not great. Working an event meant working 12+ hours a day for 3-4 days and getting no over time or additional time off.
