Pros

Worked as a project "engineer" for a little bit, the people are good (for the most part), everyone is helpful and culture is flexible and relaxed (again, for the most part). If you have to be out on holiday, no one is going to bat an eye as long as your work is done. Company will pay for whatever equipment you need and pay for classes/books/material and reimburse you for other expenses. Pretty good pay!

Cons

Company is way too reliant on employees past or nearing retirement, which heavily deters company growth. Definitely not a company for younger people. The flexibility in terms of wfh is mostly smoke and mirrors -- I was told I could work from home but there was still an expectation for me to be at the office (repeatedly being asked "are you at the office?") even when none of the other long-term employees ever showed up. Boring office environment and projects; would have to drive 45min-1hr to sit in a cubicle with barely any interaction with other people. Don't care much about your long-term growth, other than being just a billable monkey. You are called a project engineer but will never get to do any real engineering work -- just a glorified data entry person.
