Pros

This company is a bit of a hybrid between a large organization and a start-up. Many engineers are from aerospace and transportation industries looking for more room to be creative. - Motivated engineers that want to build something new - Flexible schedule - Paid lunches

Cons

After being at this company before and after the great bug of 2019, there have been drastic changes all around. Most affected are upper management and executive level changes. The changes are far too rapid and reflect this company's investors' complete control over the direction of the company despite having little to no involvement in the technology itself. In the span of two years, we have had 3 CEO's - on par with unstable governments of the world. Finance and Legal departments here have been very underperforming despite this company attempts at being a leading tech innovator. I'm not sure where they hired those guys and why they continue to be employed given their abysmal performance. Our accounts with vendors are always defaulting on credit so as an engineer, expect parts delays or cancelled orders. If you're an immigrant trying to sort out your H1-B, HR and Legal will stall, give false promises, and mess up your paperwork. Currently, the company is in a "hiring freeze" so it is rapidly shrinking. Leadership doesn't seem to mind since the product is undergoing a new direction and design. The design phase would logically require fewer engineers. - Most engineers are being underpaid here - Leadership will never communicate clearly the situation of the company. A very concerning fact if you are considering the financial stability. Everyone finds this important even if their main focus is their work and innovation. Don't buy into the brainwashing that you are somehow not a risk taker if you don't completely ignore your financial well-being. - Most middle level managers are trying their best but you can tell Leadership wants "yes-people" to organize the work. - The "hiring freeze" has no end in sight. Don't count on significant raises.
