Pros

When I started working for HolidayCheck it was super promising and modern working environment with high potential for growth and longterm career. I've had a great work-life balance and good opportunity to grow and advance my knowledge. Until I wasn't, in a very short time things started falling apart.

Cons

Current management needs to go if this company is going to survive and of that I am sure, the CTO/CPO (same guy) made so many mistakes that full teams behind his initiatives were opposed to his views and where resources should be spent and yet no one could do anything about it as he was stubborn to push his ideas forward. This man made crucial management mistakes that made many people to quit (more than 30), and as we know people leave managers not companies and he excercised selfishness multiple times just that I am aware of and that I have witnessed. CEO had a constant worry on his face, like he is not sure what he is supposed to do and his company meeting speaches were like a cry for help. The CFO was the best out of the three but unfortunately he had very little to do with big decisions from what was seen in the end results. The values company wants employees to follow are farfetched and borderline fairytales that even the "People team" didn't fully understand and could not explain in few occasions. A lot of people were underpaid for few years (comparing to available numbers from the market) and then management introduced the new compensation scheme that increased a lot of salaries, making people underpaid...again, how!? You have to be a magician to make that move. A lot of people who got promoted to a higher level didn't get compensated for that level, HOW AGAIN!? Some really fascinating math goes around that company.

Pros

- Good place to start your career since you can improve a lot - There are some great colleagues who have broad and deep knowledge

Cons

- Much lower salaries than the rest of Switzerland and medium benefits - Several positions stay open (and huge workload is created within the teams) because of the company's will to hire mainly interns... - Bad recruitment, several people without skills get hired - Headquarters in a village - Non-German speakers face difficulties and sometimes racism - POOR MANAGEMENT! Decisions are taken only regarding numbers, human side is overlooked...

Pros

- Flexible hours - Remote working - Choose your own setup - Stand-up desk - Free snacks, coffee, water and fruits - Lunch service available (not free) - Relax rooms - Informal office with games and shooting guns - Friendly colleagues - Company language English - Free German classrooms - Every floor and room as a topic, with a lot of plants - Very nice location near the lake, with availability to eat outside

Cons

Salary not so much aligned and competitive for the experience level. They know that most of the workers live abroad in Germany where the cost of living is lower than Switzerland.
