Experience vs. Poor System

Pros

I gained so much experience working in this highly-stressful environment. You learn everything with hands on experience: case management, crisis intervention, office support, making referrals, group work, and many other social work duties.

Cons

However, the organization itself has to grow and become organized. The organization is not professional. The new employees who are very professional are blown away by the board of directors do for business. Lots of unprofessional behavior going on. A lot of the new staff have left because of this reason.

Pros

Just like the other review on Glassdoor and Indeed, you learn many skills here that will definitely help you obtain another job. You learn skills fast as you work in a highly-stressful and fast-pace environment. A positive outcome is that I was able to use these skills as a stepping stone to a much healthier and better paying job.

Cons

I said "beware" because you are overwork and management does nothing regarding safety, facilities, self-care, or training. When I worked there part-time, 3 full-time staff who just started had quit and another one worked there for a couple of years also quit. The managers didn't train the new employees so I stepped up to do it. The culture is so bad, if you are not at the main office, you don't exist in the eyes of the administrators; which is ironic, since their mission is to serve people with disabilities and mental illnesses. Just Google the reviews.
