Pros

Great flexibility, meet different people from diverse backgrounds, decent location, no strict dress code

Cons

Toxic culture, not a lot of room for growth, very disorganized organization from the CEO moving downward, massive unnecessary lay offs and or terminations from employees, no direct deposit available!

Pros

Growing Power has a great mission. There are staff who truly care about the food system. The organization is inspirational for many people in Milwaukee and around the country.

Cons

Employee time outside of work is not valued. We have 4 paid holidays a year (New Years Day, MLK Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day). Six months out of the year we offer weekend workshops (one month) where staff is required to work on Saturday and Sunday and staff is only given one day off during those weeks, so we are losing 6 days off a year. There is no flexing of time.
