Pros

You get to play with guns all day for the most part and the people you work WITH are extremely cool and knowledgeable for the most part. Laid back in some aspects of the job but only in some departments even though they are managed by the same person technically. The owner is semi famous and it's totally a unique place to actually work as you get to see the CEO everyday and he will actually talk to you and everyone. Sometimes you get to see the fruit of your labor on YouTube and on the website which I personally find very unique.

Cons

The people you work FOR is such a mixed bag depending on the day, Constant inconsistencies in communication and polices between HR, the owner, the owner's sons and the owner's wife. A lot of the time you will feel like you're walking on eggshells because of the toxic work environment due to ever changing polices that only apply to certain people for some reason and not to any one that is "loyal". The amount of trust that is lacking from upper management to even a team lead is kind of insane also. No willingness to either adapt or be proactive instead of reactive to a lot of situations that multiple people have given a clear resolutions to the owners or management about way ahead of time. Pay and benefits are kind of subpar and you have to fight for a raise even though you take on more tasks when asked by either management or the owners, this also applies to just a simple cost of living wage increase. No direct deposit is offered and no 401K in today's world is actually insane for a business that's been around for as long as it has been. Getting someone to cross train with you so you can take a vacation is like pulling teeth because it "cuts into productivity and the bottom line" even though the reason the company is behind in a lot of areas is because of the way the company is currently being run. Totally a "too many Chiefs, not enough Indians" type of company and it only got worse in the almost 4 years I was employed here after San Diego closed. Promotions don't really make sense either, they will promote someone that is still in training and under their 90 day probationary period instead of the person that's been given the title unofficially without the pay and just end up losing multiple people due to doing this, it's happened multiple times in my tenure here. The only people that have worked for this company that have been there for over 5 years are people that are either forever "loyal" to the owners and have worked themselves into a position to where they either do nothing all day or they are so committed to their job that they are too blind to see how brainwashed they are, there is literally no in between.
