Pros

A great place to start if you want to work in PR. A lot of learning can be done and the pace is fast.

Cons

A culture of 'niceness' but not friendly as such. London office is very quiet with palpable stress. Noticeable illness, and people going off sick then leaving. Several six-month probations extended while I was there (people tended to leave rather than stick it out). A lot of criticism - some of it stored up for your reviews - and a feeling that your best is not enough. All this may have changed since I left.

Pros

GingerMay was my first corporate job out of university, and I worked there for five years. I received numerous thorough trainings, particularly DISC training, which helped me understand personalities and work styles within the team—I still use this knowledge to this day. After three years, I was offered a six-month sabbatical to travel, which was an extremely kind gesture. I also made some very good friends at GingerMay, many of whom I remain in contact with.

Cons

Towards the end of my time at GingerMay, the culture became less enjoyable. Social events in London, which had been consistent before, started to die out, and many colleagues around my age left, which changed the team dynamic.
