Pros

Well known “Pipetman” that is still used in many research labs, classic pipet that was one of the first to market

Cons

I have seen 4 5-star reviews in the past 2 days, seriously?! How do you explain the high turnover the last 6 months ? Especially on the sales team with 80% of the staff resigning or let go. How do you put together a senior management that does not know how to work with the talent they have. How are you competing with your competitors with inferior products ? How is micro-managing your team and focusing on KPI’s increasing your overall sales when the sales team has no time to do what they do best…seeing customers. How can you justify bringing back “old ideas” and calling them new ? How can you explain hiring less knowledgeable managers in the liquid handling field and not promoting within? How can you set sales targets so unachievable that it makes it difficult to make plan and stay motivated?

Pros

There are plenty of employees who do take pride in their work and strive to contribute to Gilson's success. Work-life balance was good. Good PTO and Holiday plan.

Cons

Vigorous staff turnover. Healthcare benefits subpar for field staff. Expense allowances, though not strictly adhered to, have not been increased in years. Significant lack of trust between various divisions of management and their employees. Some employees have mentioned believing there were "moles" in the organization reporting back to upper management, Whether or not that is true, these types of beliefs amongst employees do not suggest that this is a healthy or positive work environment. Heavy micromanagement, too much time spent in meetings and chasing KPIs while still being expected to reach unreasonable goals.
